As with all other halls of residence of the Aachener Studierendenwerk, our rooms are also allocated according to a waiting list. This means that preference will be given to those applicants who applied first via the applicant portal.

Process

After you have registered, you will sooner or later receive a room offer from one of the halls of residence (or its occupancy committee). You will then be shown the house and you may be introduced to your roommates. Once they have chosen you, the occupancy committee of the dormitory will propose you to the Studierendenwerk as a tenant. The Stw will then contact you shortly regarding contractual matters.

Tips for a good application

Even if we always assign according to a list, we do not accept applicants at random. A good and detailed application increases your chances of getting a room quickly.

Designation "single room (with toilet)"

Unfortunately, our rooms are still somewhat misleadingly named in the applicant portal (as of September 19).

“ Single rooms ” for €197 are 12m² rooms. There you share the kitchen and bathroom.

" Single rooms with toilet " are 16m² apartments with their own kitchen and shower, but no own toilet. Of course you can also use the large communal kitchen if you have an apartment.
