To become a ordinary member of our association, please fill out the following membership form and email it to haussprecher@bauhuette.fh-aachen.de. In addition, the entrance fee and monthly membership fees must be transferred to our association's account (2 separate transfers please).

To become an honorary member of our association, one must be nominated by a member of the association, who does not hold a position on the managing board.
FAQ
Is a digital signature of the form sufficient ?
Answer: Yes a digital signature is even desired as we cannot partially automate the registration process with scanned documents.
I have already paid internet fees some time ago, do I still have to pay the association membership fees ?
Answer: Yes with the foundation of our association we have changed organizational and financial things from scratch. Old internet fees are no longer relevant for our association.
Why did you found an association at all ?
Answer: The association gives us better legal security and thus also the possibility of an association account to lead. This in turn helps us extremely to improve our infrastructure or in case of problems with e.g. the network to decide on quick measures and then also implement them. It also allows us to support events in our dormitory, which then promote our community.
Why is there an entrance fee ?
Answer: The entrance fee allows us to build up a financial cushion to quickly provide replacements in case of defects of expensive equipment, such as our servers. The monthly fees can then cover our running expenses.
How can I influence decisions like the amount of our monthly membership fees ?
Answer: As an ordinary member of the association you have the right to speak, propose, vote and active and passive voting rights at our general meeting, where decisions are made by simple majority. In this meeting the central questions concerning the dormitory are clarified and also the board of directors is elected. The regular general meeting is announced 14 days in advance.
What happens if I forget to transfer the monthly membership fee ?
Answer: If you forget to transfer the membership fee at the first of the month you will automatically become a dormant member. A dormant member has less rights and no access to the internet. However, you can restore your previous status for a fee of 5€ in addition to the membership fee. We therefore recommend to set an automatic transfer of the membership fee in your bank.
Can I use services of AG X without being a member of the association ?
Answer: No all services of the AGs are only available to members of the association. However, it is up to the AGs themselves whether they also offer the services for dormant, honorary or extraordinary members.
Can I live in the dormitory without becoming a member of the association ?
Answer: Of course, but then we cannot help you with your internet connection and you will not have access to the other services offered by our AGs.
